IDbGLAM connects people with galleries, libraries, archives, museums, cultural organizations, communities, and public experiences around the world. These principles guide how we collect, verify, present, and maintain information across the platform.

ACCURACY & RELIABLE SOURCES
IDbGLAM aims to provide accurate, useful, and current information. We prioritize official organizational websites, government records, recognized cultural authorities, and other reliable primary sources. Information may be reviewed before publication and updated when more authoritative or current evidence becomes available. A verified listing indicates that key information was checked against an identified source on a recorded date; it does not mean that every detail will remain current indefinitely.

CLEAR ATTRIBUTION
Whenever appropriate, IDbGLAM identifies the source used to verify a record. Information supplied directly by an organization may also be identified as claimed or organization-provided content. We do not present unconfirmed claims, promotional language, or third-party directory information as independently verified fact.

INCLUSION & REPRESENTATION
IDbGLAM seeks to represent the full breadth of the global GLAM community, including institutions and cultural organizations of different sizes, disciplines, histories, geographic locations, and communities served. Inclusion in IDbGLAM is not an endorsement. Omission does not indicate that an organization lacks cultural importance or public value.

NEUTRALITY & INDEPENDENCE
Listings are developed and presented according to IDbGLAM’s classification, sourcing, and verification standards. Sponsorship, membership, advertising, investment, or partnership does not determine whether an organization is included or how its information is verified. Sponsored material, paid placements, and commercial relationships will be identified clearly.

CULTURAL RESPONSIBILITY
Descriptions of cultural heritage, communities, people, collections, and places should be respectful, factual, and sensitive to historical and cultural context. Terminology may change as scholarship, community preferences, institutional practices, or official designations evolve. IDbGLAM may update language when a more accurate or respectful description becomes available.

CORRECTIONS & UPDATES
IDbGLAM welcomes corrections from organizations, researchers, cultural professionals, and members of the public. Correction requests should include the affected listing, the proposed change, and an authoritative source whenever possible. Representatives of listed organizations may claim their pages and submit updated information. Claimed content remains subject to IDbGLAM’s publishing and data standards.

ARTICLES & CONTRIBUTED CONTENT
When IDbGLAM publishes articles, guides, interviews, or contributed material, the author or source will be identified when appropriate. Opinions expressed in contributed content belong to the contributor and do not necessarily represent IDbGLAM. Material conflicts of interest, sponsorships, or partnerships affecting published content will be disclosed clearly.
