About

Smithsonian’s National Zoo lights up for the holidays with about one million lights, dozens of hand-painted lanterns and illuminated wire-frame animals, plus a carousel, winter maze, treats and Friday live entertainment in December. 5–9 pm Monday–Saturday, 5–8 pm Sundays. Live animals are not on view. Adults-only night December 16; member nights December 8–9.
