The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, located in New York City, USA, opened on September 11, 2011, for the memorial and May 21, 2014, for the museum. Architect Michael Arad designed the memorial, while Davis Brody Bond designed the museum. The memorial features two reflecting pools set in the footprints of the original Twin Towers, surrounded by the names of the victims.
