Exploratorium

The Exploratorium, located in San Francisco, California, USA, was founded by physicist Frank Oppenheimer and opened on March 10, 1969. The current building, designed by EHDD Architecture, is situated at Pier 15 along the Embarcadero. The Exploratorium is known for its hands-on science exhibits, which cover topics from biology and physics to psychology and environmental science. The Tactile Dome, a pitch-black maze navigated by touch, and the Outdoor Gallery, which explores the Bay Area’s natural environment, are particularly popular.
